Thin layer mortar

Thin layer mortar

Dry masonry mortar for thin joints in internal and external walls. Designed for AAC blocks, it can also join ceramic and concrete masonry units with high dimensional accuracy. Joint thickness is 0.5 to 3 mm in accordance with EN 1996-1.

Applications

SOLBET thin layer mortar is intended for joining masonry units in internal and external walls. It can be used with AAC blocks and with other accurately dimensioned units, including ceramic and concrete units.

Thin joints help maintain uniform thermal properties across an AAC wall, avoiding thermal bridges at the joints. They also reduce the water required for masonry work and the amount of construction moisture introduced during laying.

Properties

  • Very good workability during laying
  • Good adhesion to various masonry units
  • Hydraulic binders with selected mineral aggregates
  • Admixtures improve technical and working properties
  • Reduced water demand during masonry work
  • Less construction moisture introduced during laying
